Dog still missing from Monday's fatal crash

DAVIS - Yolo County Animal Services officials are looking for a dog who went missing during a three-car fatal accident in Woodland on Highway 113 and County Road 25A on Monday, Feb. 28.

Vicky Fletcher with Yolo County Sheriff's Department Animal Services, said a male Chow Chow dog was found in one of the vehicles and removed at the scene, but a second dog also found on scene has since gone missing.

The dog is described as a spayed female Chow Chow, tan and reddish brown in color and answers to the name of "Suzy." Fletcher said she was seen after the accident in the area of North Pionner, Gibson Road and East Main Streets. "Suzy" was most recently seen Wednesday around 8 a.m. near Home Depot in Woodland.

The dog owner, who is from Fremont, is still in a local hospital recovering from his injuries sustained in the car accident.
