UC Davis police warn of attempted kidnapping

DAVIS, CA - The UC Davis Police Dept. are warning residents of an alleged attempted kidnapping of a young girl on September 30, at noon.

The girl was walking near the Orchard Park apartments when she was approached by a man on a bicycle. The girl told police that the man asked her where her parents were, and when she did not respond, he approached her and said, "Come home with me."

The girl fled to her residence, and the man rode away on his bike towards Russell Park, according to the police report.

The man on the bike was described as 19 to 20 years old with cloudy grey eyes, several piercings in the upper part of his right ear, a black oval inserted earring in his left earlobe, and a round ring through the middle of his nose. He also had a rose tattoo on his upper left arm, a cross tattoo on his right outer forearm and a swastika tattoo on his left outer calf with the words "love" written in black underneath.

The man was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt, black shorts, black lace-up shoes and a black and orange baseball cap turned backwards.

Anyone with information on the individual or who may have witnessed the incident was asked to contact the UC Davis Police Dept.
