YoloArts to host 'Converting Your Original Art Into Digital Format' March 26

YoloArts to host 'Converting Your Original Art Into Digital Format' March 26

WOODLAND - Artistic mediums such as ceramics, fiber, oil and watercolor painting used by today's 21st century artists are similar or identical to the media and techniques that have been used for numerous centuries in the creation of art. What is unique for 21st century artists are the computer based methods now available for communicating and promoting artwork.

In a mission driven effort to support the marketing of art created by Yolo County artists, YoloArts is hosting a workshop to teach the skills necessary to convert conventional artwork into a digital format for uploading and inclusion in websites, and useful for presentation and submission purposes.

The workshop will be held Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m. until noon at the Yolo County Office of Education Conference Center, located at 1280 Santa Anita Court, Suite 100 in Woodland.

Professional photographer and West Sacramento resident Tracy Thomas, will facilitate the workshop.

She is sent off to be governess to Captain von Trapp’s (Michael Maples) seven troublesome children. Unlike previous governess’ Maria builds a warm relationship with the children because of their mutual love of music. The strict Captain also becomes enamored with Maria and soon they fall in love and marry. Unfortunately, the Nazis invade Austria and the family is forced to flee over the Alps to escape.
