WOODLAND - YoloArts will host a free workshop for non-profits in Yolo County about the use of an online calendar system designed to increase organizations' visibility and vitality. The workshop will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 1 p.m.- 2:30 p.m in the Yolo County DESS building located at 25 North Cottonwood Street, Room #175 in the Madison Lab.

Made possible by a grant from the California Arts Council and its Creating Public Value program, calendar creators Rebecca Martinez and John Potter of Blue Cat Studios will be conducting this hands-on computer workshop. Attendees will learn how to maximize limited staff and volunteer resources, increase traffic to websites, promote events, activities and meetings, access statistics for satisfying grant accountability requirements, and measure the success of advertising campaigns.

Through its California Arts Council grant, YoloArts is able to offer the calendar system free to three county nonprofits serving the arts. Deadline to apply for one of the three free memberships is March 16. To learn more about how to apply for a free calendar system, contact YoloArts executive director Danielle Thomas at (530) 406-4844, email director@yoloarts.org, or attend the workshop.
